This is Rubenesque â„–2, the 3rd nude doll I made for the upcoming photo shoot for Vogue Japan.

This one is so photogenic. The camera loves her face. What do you think: Could she be the one who is going up for sale at the end of the week?

Maybe,… but I think you’d have a pretty hard time letting her go!

As if the deep ruby red hair and green eyes weren’t enough, she’s got that “something” which makes her altogether captivating, alluring and innocent. What a lovely expression…

i really am starting to like the Rubenesque dolls a lot. i think this one is my fav of the three. i like her sad, on the verge of tears look. and the curvy figure is lovely as always. does she have the double-jointed neck too?

Absolutely flippingobbsmackinglygorgeous, ha!! master of the understatement that’s me!! Don’t comment on the technical side cos I’m not an artist/doll maker so its beyond my knowledge,I’m just so glad I found this site, that when someone mentions their inspirations it’s made me look at stuff I wouldn’t have normally even known about,so thank you all, especially thanks to Marina for starting the whole experience off,oh and I’m more than excited because I have an Enchanted lantern in transit from Canada!! Phew !!

  10. Annina says:

see, i KNEW it, you made my new favourite again!
can i have her and pearly-white-teeth please?
hmm this one would probably be too hard to let go for you, but then you do have Aurum for yourself, so maybe?
but my guess is, for this time it will be a waif with double jointed hips you will sell. maybe. ;)

ah, i looked at the photos again, no double-jointed neck. i think the Rubenesque dolls look really good with the double-jointed neck, just cause it adds to their sesuality. but she’s beautiful either way. i just keep looking at the photos( here and in the galleries) and its just like, eye candy. i am always stoping back to see my favorites.which right now is this one ;)

  12. giperborea says:

She is lovely. I love your use of stronger colors on the face it’s a nice change. I love the natural look too but variety is the spice of life!
I love that your dolls are always a wonderful surprise!

  14. Liking more the slight sadness in her expression. Her eyes are teary, and love it. Strangly sadness atracts the eye. It gets deaper into our emotions. Beautiful!

Мариночка ,ты не могла бы сфотографировать эту красавицу с челкой??

  16. Marina says:

Если сделаю парик с чёлкой, то обязательно сфотографирую.

  17. What a lovely, soulful face. Hard to believe it’s of this world – I’m just glad that it is!

She has the loveliest features, beautiful job! I really feel her rich red wig gives her so much dimension, the color is delicious. And yes, the camera seems to love her, she’s so emotive, it’s amazing.

I love the Rubenesque bottom, but I always can’t help the feeling, that the upper part of the trunk is a but to light in compare to the bottom. Is that an intentional act or just the impression on the pictures?
