I like to look at Orchids, but I really dislike having them in my home. I can never seem to create the right conditions for them to stay in bloom, and I don’t have the patience to keep their ugly, bare sticks around while they are dormant. I’ve even come to resent them for their fussiness, and now I scoff at them whenever I pass by a florist. They are really striking flowers though, and perhaps one day I will meet an Orchid that doesn’t require I bend over backwards to keep it blooming all year round.

I made this little guy after reading Black Orchids – a noir detective fiction from the Nero Wolfe Mysteries, by Rex Stout. Not sure where I will take it from here or what project it will be used for, or even if I like it enough to make more, but it’s good to have the technique in reserve when the need arises.

Her eyes are amazing! So expressive and realistic. The more I look at her, the more beautiful they appear. She is eternally and heartbreakingly sad. Just beautiful. The Orchid is so pretty and I like you are not blessed with a green thumb so I enjoy my blooming orchid and then buy another when it becomes a twig.

I adore orchids, and your tiny creation is heavenly <3 The secret to keeping an orchid alive (I've had mine for 2 years now) is ice cubes and indirect sunlight^^ They are canopy plants so they don't like direct sunlight.

Ahhhh this glorious creature again. She was so very captivating and mesmerizing when I saw her in person. I can not wait to hear her tale. Who is she Marina?

I love orchids, though I only have silk flowers around because I have a tendency to have a black thumb with plants. this little black orchid is lovely, I love the crystal accents. I’m sure you’ll find something magical to do with it. maybe Skylar needs a few orchid flowers to hold to go with her new crown. just an idea.

She is stunning!!!!!! My first impression was how beautiful and amazingly real she looks! The headpieces is spectacular with what looks like black onyx? And a charming black pearl around her neck to go with it all!
The Orchid is really pretty, I can see them lining the edges of a cape or on the front of shoes.

I hope this does not sound creepy or weird but I really like seeing photos of Marina’s hands. They are so skilled, so very talented and give the world so much that I feel as if they are a treasure unto themselves. The photo with the pretty orchid is suitable for framing.
