Just playing with some lace for fun. My favorite resin doll Luchia is wearing it. I was inspired by these awesome headdresses in a photo from an inflight magazine. Not sure what culture they are from. Maybe Norwegian…? Does any one know?

Looks like this is a Briton woman from Brittany. It’s a part of France on the coast across from England.

Marina did I post something wrong? It was just a link to what we call in french “une bretton” …..? It was a little girl with the head piece called Bretton.

Actually, this is Dutch. There’s even a small part of the Netherlands where (older) women still dress like this. I’ll see if I can find some more information, the details on this type of clothing are amazing…

That definitely looks Dutch to me. I looked it up and it’s ‘Zeeuws’ to be exact. Zeeland is in the South-West of the Netherlands.
Here is a Dutch website showing their traditional dress : http://www.klederdracht.nl/

Christiane, if your message didn’t show up, it may have been moderated because it contained links? It’s happened to me before when I tried to post more than one link…

It looks dutch. Maybe you can google ‘nederlandse klederdracht’ (I don’t know what it’s called in English). But it looks quite like it.

Chad had put your comment back manually, Christiane. I’m not sure what to suggest for putting in links.

Pure and innocent with lace on so heavenly! Love it!

I love Lucchia too , she’s perfect !
As for the head pieces on the other photo , I doubt that they are Norwegian because of their rather dark skincolor . And they aren’t Bretonne either (it is not quite the right shape .
Wish I could help more …
