Comedy sketch on dolls by comedian Louis C.K

This is a hilariously accurate account of the doll-making experience. He gets me. So. Much.

For those of you who don’t know who he is, Louis C.K is a brilliant writer and a stand up comedian with a distinct style of existential humor. His take on life is brutally honest and can be dark or even downright depressing at times, but it’s very funny and compelling because it’s so real.

Funny but painful. Takes me back to those moments when you’re making something and everything starts to go horribly wrong, I can relate with those tears!

OMG, I have been there, 20 minutes before an auction and a customer gives an antique doll a good shake and her eyes fall back into her head! Having to rush the doll back to the office and reset her eyes so she can be sold. LOLOL, been there, done that.

I cringed, even as I laughed! I bought a small porcelain doll once and when she arrived in the mail, her eyes were locked in the sleep position and wouldn’t open. I tried everything and ended up, out of sheer frustration, poking at them with a pin…. and yes, the eyelid paint did scratch off. In the end, I found a good bash to the back of the head popped her eyes open! :D
