Shadow Box by Jayne W

What I have created for you is a shadow box in the form of a chest. I used to work at a company that specializes in taking treasured momentos and turning them into cherished pictures for display. We specialized in mostly sports memorabilia but I loved the opportunity to do more creative framing ie: wedding bouquets, christening gowns, etc.

I can't sculpt I am afraid, nor can I paint, but I can measure (sort of). I have made a display chest from solid cherry wood and embellished it with brass fitting feet and handles. I have also constructed a fitted shadow box containing ED sized accessories. Although the chatelaine, fan and walking stick are purchased items, I did make you an umbrella using a cocktail umbrellas as the base and covered it in vintage silk and made the handle and finial out of oven baked cernit. The small hat I made out of dark straw and vintage silk, which I smock pleated to make the liner and embellished with small flowers, feathers and silk ribbon.

Included also is an extra shadow box that fits the chest and extra mats that can line the bottom of the shadow box for quick color changes so you can display your items if you choose to instead. The box just has to be turned over and the back screws in the frame released to make the change.
