CORNFLOWER DOLL by Bajgraf

Concept art of a new doll - Enchanted Doll Birthday Contest 2010 entry

MEDIUM: digital painting, 2D - Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe Illustrator CS4, Corel Painter 11 (trial), Wacom Volito 2 mini pen tablet

Cornflower is a nude porcelain doll featuring tattoo on her belly with a sapphire (bright blue stone) which is placed inside the inflorescence of cornflower. She is wearing an aerial dress with satin ribbon tied around and ballet slippers. She is able to move her eyelids, so that her eyes can be open or shut. Face outlines of the doll were originally inspired by self-portraits of Kimme, but they were adjusted to be more dolly-like.

Colours of my artwork, motif of flowers on the dress, tattoo, wig and jewellery (ear-ring, bracelet, ring) were designed to resemble a cornflower.

All these things were painted by me. All the elements were created from scratch, not copied from others. Initially the sketches were created and used as a base for further work.
