  3. Annina says:

    Calle says: Goldilocks?

  4. Bella says:

The one with the frog and the princess? :) She looks so beautiful…

  5. Susann says:

“the girl with the matches” ? (This story about the poor girl who tries to sell matches in winter and died) Because she have this wooden sticks in her hair and crys.

  6. Jayne says:

Cinderella! Buggered if I know, but she is absoutely gorgeous. I love the running mascara and the look of abject hopelessness and resignation (if it’s possible to love that look?)

  7. Annina says:

Marina, are you trying to torture us to death with beauty? this is so beautiful, i can’t take it.
she is my new desktop wallpaper.

  8. Sailor orbit says:

    Goldilocks

  9. jacci says:

i agree with susenn, it looks like the little match girl. thats one of my fav faerie tales and a very little known one. if this is the little match girl that would be so cool.

  10. J. David says:

I love that little CROWN! You kill me….
I’m going to say she’s the princess from The Golden Goose?

  11. J. David says:

The crown evokes the princess from The Frog Prince though….

  12. Astera says:

First thing that came to my mind was Sleeping beauty… something about the wood elements of her updo remind me of the spindle (or whatever the name for the poisoned sharp tool she hurts herself with)…wild guess…;)

    She is amazing btw.

  13. Carmen says:

I’m speechless. I feel her sadness in her eyes. WOW.
    I need to compose myself…

  14. Marina, I so agree with Annina this is called TORTURE. She has a whimsical look. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Dam it I have to say I perfer you continue making the other types of dolls. With big costumes all this over the top bling bling kings Royalty type dolls.

Please don’t don’t get me wrong, your work is amazing (mastered) but I don’t see my self with those kind of dolls.

But anything whimiscal and fairy tale look kills me. I am sure your fans over me have a large knot in there stomach tide with envy.

  15. I think she is Goldilocks and the three bears. Please show more.

  16. Very very very adorableeeeee.I loveeeee

  17. Mariah says:

Very beautiful and inspiring to all who look upon your work. I only know the “famous” fairy tales but I’m wanting to guess the Queen from “The Six Swans.”

  18. Eiko says:

My guess is the miller’s daughter from Rumpelstiltskin. The poor girl has forced to spin gold from straw or face execution. I could imagine her trying to create something, in the vain hope of it producing gold and then bursting into tears when it fails.

  19. Tiffany says:

I agree with Eiko, I thought Rumpelstiltskin when I first saw her.

  20. Rapunzel – when her hair has been cut, which would explain why she is crying tears that are smudging her make-up

  21. The Old Maid says:

I have no idea but the photo and she are beautiful, the colours are sweet and this crown is a jewel;) Show us more soon, please!:)

  22. I think it’s the story of the Little Match Girl, has a melancholy expression sublime. I’m intrigued know which story is his new creation she’s wonderful as always Marina makes preciousness.

  23. Fiona says:

Agree with David. Frog princess :)

  24. Heidy Marie says:

I do agree with Eiko. When I saw her, I thought on her!

  25. Hanna Gvozd says:

Hans Christian Andersen: The Swineherd =))) First thought I had…

  26. Crystal says:

I just hope those pins and stuff don’t stay in her hair.

  27. Silvana says:

hum…i dont have any idea, but certainly she is so beautiful….

  28. Erin says:

Hmmm…is it the little match girl? Could be wrong, but man…she is goregous! I would love to draw one of your dolls. Hm, I think I will. ^_^
Cannot say enough about how much I love your dolls.<3

  29. Silvana says:

Thinking better after see some faire tails of course…..maybe she is the Rumpelstiltskin….

  30. Annina says:

    more photos pleeease ä_ä

  31. Ceejay says:

I still think Rapunzel because of the hair

  32. Marina says:

Good guesses, everyone, just not the right ones. Try again.

  33. Crystal says:

Little Bo Peep who lost her sheep?

  34. Amal says:

    The Little Mermaid?

  35. melanidee says:

princess and the pea just comming in from the rain?

  36. Jill says:

One of the twelve dancing princesses, so tired and sweaty her makeup is running, haha

  37. Iki says:

Another happy doll¬¬, YAY¡, MMMMM Well i sticks to amal , she could be the little mermaid, have enough reasons to cry, blue eyes, Golden hair, Pink dress(but that would be to disney). I love her little crown, it´s so cute.

  38. sandy says:

Belle from Beauty and the Beast?

  39. Anna says:

That is sooo very cool!! Such a pretty face, so sad, I love the bokeh, pink gold in the picture an her tiny crown!! The little goose girl? She was terribly sad…. However and after reading the comments, Eikos answer of Rumpelstiltskin seems a good guess..

    …… eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Who is she!!!??

  40. Amy says:

The red shoes? She looks like she is a ballerina. well, whoever the character, she is certainly beautiful!

  41. Amy says:

Or how about Gretel from Hansel and Gretel?

  42. Ash says:

    Thumbelina? :)

  43. Merri says:

She is beautiful and I think she may be Cinderella looking sad after she is forced to leave the ball and her Prince.
By the way, I don’t think the toothpicks and pins will be staying – I think perhaps this may be Marina’s way of curling the hair.

  44. Visi says:

Ash took my guess. My first instinct was also Thumbelina.

  45. Visi says:

Sorry to double post, but I had another thought. Maybe she’s the ballerina from the story of the ballerina and the one-legged tin soldier (sorry, I can’t remember the actual name of the story).

  46. MigMig says:

I first thought abouth Thumbelina. WHoever she is, this is another beautiful doll, with her sad, fragile face. What is her story, Marina?

  47. Monique Jean-Baptiste says:

    Goldilocks

  48. Danae Alexandra says:

Is she the farmer’s daughter from Rumpelstiltskin?

  49. Orangey says:

Wow, very interesting. From first glance she’s beautiful, and the hair ornamentation is -really- interesting. Her face painting is beautiful, I love how you indicated the two lines in her forehead to show her concern, great detail. Her dress looks very pink. Can’t wait to see more of her.

And I won’t even try to guess who she is :p.

  50. Boomer says:

The Red Shoes comes to mind but the pink screams another tale.
The princess from The Wild Swans?

  51. Orangey says:

Or maybe the pins in her hair are just to set the curls. Hah. I don’t think the pins are a bad look! ;P

  52. daniseyu says:

i think she is Goldilocks and the three bears,ha ,very Fairytale!

  53. Alexandra says:

think she’s Lotty from Princess and Frog

  54. izd says:

A very unpleasant person. The painful character.

  55. Hazel says:

Goldilocks immediately popped in my head when I saw this. xD

  56. Hanna Gvozd says:

    Maybe Thumbelina… =)

  57. Tiffany says:

Is it the maiden from the magic hair pins?

  58. Anna says:

I didn’t see the guess again comment otherwise I would have held my tongue!! Would it be the princess from, the six swans, (the children of Lir)? Or the Crying Princess, where the princess was a doll? maybe??

  59. lynn says:

I think she’s Cinderella. Absolutely gorgeous. I want one!

  60. Veerle says:

She reminds me of the girl from Mother Hulda! She had to spin until her fingers bled. I always loved that fairytale! I’m not sure if it’s very well known in other countries but it is in the Netherlands!
    Anyways, she’s lovely!

  61. Annina says:

aah Veerle, yes it’s known in german speaking countries, i know it as Frau Holle. maybe it’s her.

  62. Roxy says:

Царевна Несмеяна? I can’t find English equivalent of this princess.

  63. MollyTheWanderer says:

    Goldilocks?

  64. winternight says:

    I think it’s Miss Muffet… I imagine you would do a killer be-jeweled spider!

Bo Peep would be great, you could do a lot with that, but if this isn’t Miss Muffet, you need to do one as I want to see the amazing spider!

Goldilocks because of the hair but then the bears would pose a problem, so I don’t know about that one….

    I still say Miss Muffet.

  65. winternight says:

Oh I just noticed the tears, I don’t know how I missed that before. So now I think it’s Bo Peep! I hope you’ll do Miss Muffet next, I want to see your amazing silver spider. ^____^

  66. Monique says:

    The Blue Bird?

  67. Leigh in ME says:

    The Weeping Princess?

  68. Julita says:

Is it the princess from the story The Light Princess, where the girl cannot cry until the lake that she loves is dried up? (wild guess, I know)

  69. ziggytaku says:

i think it is a Princes and the frog
. cuz she is so young looking and so cute and in the story she was playing with her golden ball in the garden by the well so….. i think she is this princes ^^

  70. ziggytaku says:

    KLARA from the NUTCRACKER !!!!

  71. fatalrob0t says:

Given that she’s crying, I can’t exactly work out what who she’s going to be. The sticks in her hair are what you tend to use to style the curls of the wigs, so, again, I have no clue. Given what you did to Beauty and the Beast (a tale that is Not about Stockholme Syndrome) I can only guess it’ll be just as beautiful as anything else you do while you spout utter insanity below it. Either way, I can’t wait to see it. I love your dolls, just wish I didn’t also have to wade through whatever you spout.

  72. Crystal says:

Time to update this blog, PLEASE! Thanks :)

  73. Marina……..hello come back, don’t let us hanging like that…. :)

  74. Dana says:

    the princess and the pea!

  75. kim says:

Well of course this is Princess and the Pea! Love love love her.

  76. shishkina says:

Princess and the Pea !!! )))) Nobody but a real princess could be as sensitive as that.

So the prince took her for his wife, for now he knew that he had a real princess; and the pea was put in the museum, where it may still be seen, if no one has stolen it.

There, that is a true story.

  77. Nathalie says:

    Is that donkey skin ?
Well, no matter, she’s absoloutly awesome !! So sad beauty, I love !!!

  78. joyz*k says:

    or …
judging from the costume, it cannot be Snow Queen. Little Mermaid is a bit tricky. Can it be Thumbelina?

  79. Anna Ost. says:

Just a wonderful girl! Probably, the Princess and the Pea, I think, otherwise why would so many quilts? ))

  80. maria says:

  81. Pam says:

It has to be princess and the pea. I forget why she cries but, she can feel the pea in her bed even though it has so many mattresses….she was very picky. Beautiful doll.

  82. Mikaila says:

Princess and the Pea (she is tested by seeing if she can feel a pea through her bedding).

  83. layla says:

    wow i love it *v*
    she’s so beautiful
    i want it :3

  84. Svetlana says:

Marina, this beautiful girl is The princess on a pea;)
Марина, я влюблена в Ваших чудесных девочек! Пожалуйста, как можно заказать?

  85. Katarina says:

It is Princess and the Pea… they wanted to know if she is real princess, so they put pea under the pillow and she complained that there is something and she can not sleep so the put more and more pillows, but she could not sleep anyway…
Marina, did you remember Mорозko and beautiful Nastenka… I would love to see her as your doll and her step sister Marfa I thing that was her name… I grew up with that story

  86. Sparkle Dipped says:

It’s the Princess and the Pea of course!! FANTASTIC job and so real!!!!
