New Metal Shoe Designs

9 years, 10 months ago 42

I’m adding more designs to the Enchanted Doll line of cast metal footwear. I call this style Marie-Antoinette. These are Cast in bronze.

Marie-Antoinettes from left to right: MACAROON – 24k gold plate and synthetic enamel finish, in the middle CLASSIC BLUE – silver plate with black patina finish and on the right is WARM LAVENDER – bronze cast with satin finish.

I’ve been wanting to make slippers in this 17th century/Rococo style for months, but had to put it off and off and off until I just couldn’t wait anymore.

Some more experiments are needed with different enamel colors and finishes, but i’m already quite infatuated with these.

I’d also like to see how they can be accessorized and which of these styles can be made available to order.

I love the enameled look, but it’s quite a challenge to apply. If there is enough interest in them, they may become available for orders occasionally. I donno yet. So far, only the creative part of the shoes has been done. Sill need to figure out the logistics of orders.

I’ll be announcing more information about Marie-Antoinettes, such as the price and wait-listing in a bit, meanwhile, stay tuned for more photos. And more shoes.

Delicious indeed especially the pink enamel macaron!

Do they fit your resin girls, too?

  2. MigMig says:

Very yummy – can I ask for seconds?
I just cannot imagine how you were able to make something so dainty and ornamental – these are jewelery, not dolls’ shoes.

I have to say that the ones you wrote they needed more work are the prettiest! Love the pink ones.
Hmm pity you don’t make them 1:1 size…;) Though probably would be very heavy ;)

  15. Marina please stop, you are getting my insides very anxious. Before the shoes I would have to own a ED to put them on and I so do not see that for the near futur.

Please give me hope on the possibility on a ressin ED. They say we need to visualize, I can see her, touch her in my mind, but I feel her to be so many moons away.

From a wishfull fan sending you loads of energy. Until then….. The classic blue and silver are to die for!!!

  16. Eva says:

  17. Eiko says:

    Such a lovely design.

If they do become available for order, how much would you ask for them?

  18. Annina says:

are the pink one’s Chads favourites? :D
ah i keep coming back to look at them, they are so amazing.
i would want either silver ones with patina, or 24k goldplate, without any enameling. just so exquisite!

  19. YUMMY!!!

You asked for a show of interest so here it is: I’m interested!

They are definitely yummy, I'[m even more impressed that you managed to plate bronze, It’s very tricky, needing to be nickel and/or copper plated first for the silver plating on top to adhere.

  20. Anne (UK) says:

I love them all but my favourite pair have to be the pink ones!

  21. Leah says:

Oooooooh! They’re so PRETTY! My faves are the gold and lilac, and the silver and blue :3
Wish I had shoes like that is real life XD

  22. David (Candle) says:

When should we bombard you with emails for a waiting list?

  25. Marina says:

I’ll let you guys know when. Soon, I imagine.

  26. Annina says:

but us other people on the accessory waiting list can still get something too? (you put me on it last may i think)
i have my mind set on a crown.
or will these new shoes have their own waiting list?

  27. Marina says:

At the moment I’m trying to figure out which accessory items to make available to order, including shoes and possibly crowns. I’m trying to find a way to make as many people happy as possible.
    It’s hard sometimes.

  28. Annina says:

i’m sorry Marina. will await your decision and hopefully be around when you take orders.
i vote for the Banshee crown as i love it, i think it would look great on a doll together with these new shoes.

  29. MollyTheWanderer says:

When I am rich and can afford an Enchanted Doll, I expect to be able to order a pair of shoes for her. These are gorgeous.

  30. Kimmi says:

Marina these are beautiful :) I’m just happy that you’re even here creating art, I love everything you make. So I suppose that’s one less person you have to worry about making happy :D As long as it’s making you happy too. It’s your life and your art, after all.

  31. Jayne Wourms says:

Yes please, shoes and crowns would be magnificent! The pink shoes are pure divinity as are they all.

  32. Astera says:

So yummy I might make an indigestion (but stay in shape and keep my cholesterol under control, thank you)! Are these new shoes somewhat related to the Olga Larina’s ones?

  33. giperborea says:

Awesome shoes! No doll yet to put them on ((( Dear Marina, when will you reveal more details/news about the Resin line?

  34. Jayne Wourms says:

Just having another look….I think I may be at quick peek x 100 already!

  35. Kelly says:

Marina, It’s awesome you are so in demand, I hope it’s not a bittersweet thing for you.

I may never have one of your dolls but I adore the accessories on their own. I was able to buy a pair of silver slippers thru the forum and they’re precious.

  36. gg says:

ild love to see evern higher heel platforms ala alexander mcqueen – i guess thats just the shoe enthusiast in me
    -love them!!!

  37. Ariel says:

Oh, these are unbelievably lovely. They’re so delicate and precious, I love these cloisonne jewels.

Once you’ve cloned yourself Marina, then you’ll be able to make all dolls and accessories for all comers. Meanwhile, can I go on the waitlist for…any of them? x

  38. Hi Marina her new doll has left me without words, always enter your blog and I consider myself a big fan of his art, I love your beautiful dolls and I think that as the years go by, you grow in your knowledge and execution, God always enlighten you atte. Isabel from the Dominican Republic.
PS: It’s fascinating to see the inspiration of the dolls I love watching the style of Audrey Kasawaski.
