Two weeks to ebay auction!

4 years ago 9

Madame de Pompadour is probably my most photogenic creation. This lovely creature doesn’t seem to have a bad angle or a pose. The camera loves her! It was a joy to photograph her. Here is what her back looks like.

The weird thing is that I didn’t find the wasp nest until just a couple of weeks ago, while the queen-bee tattoo was conceived and engraved months ago. It was a very fortunate chance find, that suitsĀ the theme of the doll perfectly. Opportunities present themselves when we are open to them!

A film about the making of this doll is coming up next. The auction starts on November 30th.

I can’t think of an Enchanted Doll who didn’t take a good photo!…the dolls and the photographers (Chad and yourself?) are equally good. I love taking photos of my doll, but you seem to have an innate ability to compose an interesting portrait with each shot, with the poses and accessories…it’s really not as easy as you make it look!

Wonderful photos, such a beauty with a great tattoo. It is so interesting that you took photos with the wasp nest, I recently had a wasp infestation of more the 6 nest in my front door. I definitely didn’t look at then as a thing of beauty. but the way that you have composed the photos have inspired me to salvage one of the nest and see if i can do a photo shot too. Your dolls and artistry are such an inspiration to me. Thank you. I was interested in knowing more about the back leg/thigh design. I’ve only seen the double joint design as a straight piece but the one that Madame P has is very different in the back, those this make it more posable?

Love the queen bee! Isn’t that a French royal symbol of some kind? She is so captivating! That wig is so freaking amazing!!!! I love when you said opportunities present themselves when we are open to them, so true! I also think opportunities are always there, but are we observant or in tune with the Universe enough to see them?
I always know there is a chance for me, I may come into money somehow before Nov 30th! But if I don’t, I beseech the new owner to share pictures when you have her!!!! Please!!!!!
