Attention Russian and EU Enchanted Doll fans: The Enchanted Dollâ„¢ Traveling Collection of 25 dolls is coming to St.Petersburg this summer!

I have two upcoming shows in St.Petersburg: first one is the Musical Olympus foundation charity ball at the Ekaterininsky Palace on May 21st, Here:

And the second one is a Doll Time International doll exhibition at the Union of Artists exhibition center from June 10th-13th. Here:

I will be attending both events, but while the first one has a restricted access, the second one is open to the public!

The three day event will take place from June 10th-13th, at the  Exhibition Centre of St. Petersburg Union of Artists, st. Bolshaya Morskaya, 38., featuring Enchanted Dollâ„¢ as a special guest. I’m very honored by the invitations to both shows and  excited to attend.

The new doll Crystal Chandelier will be among the 4 recently finished costumed dolls I’ll be showing as a part of this traveling collection, plus my first version of Cinderella and an upgraded Swan Princess. Full list and pictures of participating dolls will be available here any time between now and Tuesday. We’re leaving for Russia on Wednesday.

In the two weeks between the events, Chad and I will be hanging out in Finland, Sweden and possibly Norway. Due to the intensity of the preparations for the shows, I’ve had no time whatsoever to plan anything else or even buy a dress for the ball yet……Gahhh!!!!

  2. The head chandelier is over the top crazy.
I so enjoy when you have a Victorien feel to your dolls and this beats them all.

With your talent you should be able to make your gown in no time. Bravo to you enjoy the moment.

Oh my goodnessss, you are crazy! Look at this headdress, it looks incredibly lavish, like it should be gracing a palace, until I look down to see the doll wearing it. It’s very realistic, I tell you! I’m also glad I had a similar idea for my contest entry even though my mind wouldn’t go this far to design something so detailed. Congrats, have fun in all those lovely countries and good luck with the exhibition!

Hello there. I have been following your blog for a while since I first saw your dolls. I love them. :) I just now read this one where you said you will be visiting my “home countries” Finland and Sweden. My family origins from Finland, but I am from Sweden and have always lived there. Hope you will get time to see Visby on the island Gotland. If you don’t you’ll be missing the most historical place ever. The old ringwall is from the 1300’s. And outside of Stockholm lies the old shoppingtown named as Birka. And in Uppsala are the great mounds of some great vikings too :) Have a fun trip! [Im going myself in the end of june]

Enjoy your trip, I can’t wait to see your new dolls!

  11. Just hit me, how stressful it must be. I guess your dolls travel by plane. Good lord being an x-flightattendant I know how easy it is to lose cargo. You are allowed carry on. You and Chad could bring one on board your most most precious, how to chose……

  12. Marina says:

We’re flying business class and will take all the dolls in carry on board with us. I won’t have to hold any on my lap this time.
We usually carry them on, but with weight and number of bags restrictions in coach it’s always very tricky.

Plus, I get stopped and searched at every single X-ray security check point, because the agents who scan the carry on luggage get very weirded out by the x-rays of the dolls, crammed in the suitcases like sardines. Every. Single. Time.
I’ve gotten so used to it, that when I go through the metal detector, I just go and stand on the side, waiting for puzzled looks to appear on the security staff as they scan the luggage, and then beckon to me: “Ma’am, is this your bag? I need you to step aside please. What is in your bag?”

    Every. Single. Time.

    Sigh.

  13. Kimmi says:

Woah!! That doll has a chandelier on her head! And it’s lighted! With real candles! WOAH!!!
    That’s so awesome :D

That sucks about the airport though, ugh airports are always a pain to deal with but especially if you have such “highly suspicious” dolls :(

  14. Orangey says:

Nothing strange about transporting several little bodies in your luggage. That’s the height of normality.

    :p

  15. I think you are at a point…. you need your private jet. Life would be much easier.

You need to show case your dolls in Quebec, just over to the east. No flying over sea’s. Just wishing openly.

Have a seat, buckel in, have a drink and enjoy your flight.:D

  16. Manü says:

Congratulations on the show Marina, enjoy!!!

  17. ~jenny~ says:

Haha, poor security guys. They must think that there are loads of illegal drugs cleverly hidden in the dolls.

I really like the light in the photo. The doll looks like she’s from a different era with the chandelier. She definitely fits to a show in Russia. In Sweden we have this thing called Lucia in December, a woman who is dressed in white with a red sash tied around her waist and wears crown with candles on her head, bringing light to the dark winter nights. The doll’s crown would easily outshine hers =P

  18. Signe says:

I am thouroughly impressed and a little bit jealous that you are so good in what you love doing and have found a way to make a career out of it. I know how much hard work and passion it takes. So enjoy the highlights! I can`t believ those are real candles… Love the belly dancing film too btw.

  19. The Old Maid says:

Have a wonderful trip you two! The Crystal Chandelier is fab! Can’t wait to see the rest of your exhibition’s dolls:)

  20. Nelly says:

    Hope lots of fun,enjoy.

  21. Astera says:

Duty always comes first…Now that everything is almost ready is time for the real life Cinderella to find the perfect gown! Have fun…sounds like another exciting trip. The new Crystal Chandelier is wonderfully innovative…as for the other ladies…curiosity is devouring me! :)

  22. Mari says:

I am speachless when I see your dolls. Every. Single. Time. ;-)

  23. Kate says:

Beautiful! I love how the candles on the chandelier light the doll up! Can’t achieve that warm look any other way…

  24. good luck! i wish i could go, i love the poster

Crystal Chandelier?

  26. Carmen says:

So after June the 13th that’s it for St Petersburg shows? Or will the collection stay there for a while?

  29. igradi says:

  30. Anna says:

    Hello Marina!
Your dolls are fantastic and absolutely adorable!
Love them so much and always try to follow your new ideas and works – maybe someday I’ll be ready to ask you to create a special one for me =)
Was surprised to see your name in the participant’s list of St. Petersburg exhibition and my question is – will you come to Moscow? Please! We’ll be so happy to see you and your works here=)

  31. I simply want to mention I am just all new to blogging and site-building and truly liked this website. Very likely I’m going to bookmark your blog post . You amazingly have very good articles and reviews. Bless you for revealing your webpage.
