Finished Doll
I’m having a really fantastic time at the Pieceno Fashion doll convention and will post some pictures when I have more time. Int he meantime here is a picture of the most recent completed doll. You might recognize her face. I made the nude for a Vogue photo shoot this August, but I have just finished the head dress I’ve been working on for a while. It’s another incarnation of my Light series. This one is cast in bronze and plated with Rose gold. I’ll tell you more about her later. Now I’ve got to go.

I love your porcelain dolls – not resin, with painted eyes – not glass. They have a unique charm and artistic value. Beautiful porcelain, hand-painted figures stand out from the rest of the mass-produced dolls and are works of art…

She is lovely, very expressive. The headdress is absolutely amazing and the hair color goes so well with the rose gold! Another masterpiece : )

Marina I have to say something! I so can’t wait to get a resin doll from ED…….but may I say your porcelain dolls are by far the most breathtaking works of art….NOTHING can campare to your original porcelain dolls with your painted eyes.
No matter how good the resin is or how life like the glass eyes are(even if they were diamonds) they come no where near your porcelain dolls.
The glow that they have, let alone the soul we feel in there eyes, can not be matched.
PLEASE do not get me wrong, I am thankfull for the resin line, it is reachable for us fans, but if I had a choice and the means to buy without a doubt it would be a porcelain ED painted by you and only you.

WOW, this headpiece is stunning, you just work wonders! She’s got a beautiful face. I love the flower in the center of the helmet, and the crystal accents. Her hair color works beautifully with the rose gold!

Totally exotic! I am amazed by that rich, burgundy-red hair. And I actually did something very similar with my own ED lantern pendant– I hung crystal teardrops from it as well. The lantern is simply the loveliest piece of jewelry I own, but they are especially stunning when worn by your dolls.
October 28th, 2012 15:23
OK…hands up those who are now going to hang crystals from their lantern pendants.
