Piceno fashion doll convention
Wow… what a show! The Piceno fashion doll convention had wrapped last night, and I can honestly say that I’ve never been to an event like this before – I thought it was a bit atypical for a doll convention, as it was jam packed full of entertainment, dinners, performances and celebrations every night. We even had a private audience with the mayor of the city, who welcomed us in the ancient town hall, and fireworks at the end of the show. It was simply fantastic to see people from different parts of the world and life, all united by Dolls.
And Italians seem like such warm and jolly people! At one point during lunch at a large table, full of laughing, talking and gesturing people, who passed plates full of food to one another, I had a very surreal feeling that I was in a movie. It was lovely and I shall never forget it. Italy, you were so good to me!

And now I can say how it is: beautiful and moving moments when you feel like a little dream finally comes true! Now I can say that Marina is truly beautiful, humble and so great person! Thank you, Marina, I won’t forget it!

I was so happy to go through the pictures and see how much you actually enjoyed yourself! You really deserved not just work, but also fun time!
Something different to a typical doll show must be an interesting and worthwhile experience.

Judging by the fact that all the resin dolls were sold within hours, Italian fans reacted very well to the new resin dolls.

I am so very glad you enjoyed the show and the food.. it was an honor to be a part of it and to meet you.
I really want you to know that I will never forget you. After this experience I will keep following you and your work, meeting you was honestly one of the greatest things that could have happened. I’ve been having a hard time and I needed to meet someone that would inspire me. The passion and devotion you have towards your work and towards your admirers is amazing. I hope to find that one day..

How Wonderful! Looks like you had a good time at such a fancy looking show. Hope there’s a show for you to do here in Canada one day…I’d be there for sure just to see these dolls up close.

Have no words to say thank you Marina for making my dream come true. I’ve been dreaming the moment to meet you in person for a long time and when I first saw you I thought I was going to faint (and my lovely friends around me kept saying “calm down Stefy…you’ll meet her soon”). You are such a lovely person, so sweet and humble…your eyes sparkle any time when you speak about your creations. You make feel people around you on their aise and do not hide your emotions. I really really loved meeting you too, and it’s so good to know that you enjoyed my company as much as I enjoyed yours.
And I’m really honored that many of you came from a long way away; taking planes, trains and buses to attend the convention and see me and my dolls. It means more to me than you know.
