Photoshoot Day 4 – Video from NYC
Day four has come and gone, and so the shoot has concluded. It was a very fun and challenging four days, as well as very inspirational as I learned a lot about what goes into a professional photoshoot. I had a great time working with the photographer Lacey.
The talented film-maker Benjamin Taft is in NYC with us, as he is working on a longterm project of filming a documentary about Enchanted Dolls (!!!!!). The NYC photoshoot will be a part of the film, and as a special treat he has already put together a short teaser video showing a bit of what went down in the studio. Click here to view it on Vimeo.

Oh wow Marina, that teaser was just wonderful. Can I be nosy enough to ask when the documentary will be finished and will we be able to see it here in Australia?

I can’t say when the documentary will be finished yet. It’s a work in progress. Could be a few more months or possibly a year. Donno.
I am on a bit of a high. Art is a drug and I’m a junky.

“art is a drug and i’m a junky” that made me laugh. i feel the exact same way. art is my life. the teaser was great, can’t wait for the whole documentary, i would definatly buy a copy if its something that will be for sale. and the dolls with the beautiful perfume bottles, what a great combo. good job on all of it. i’m impressed, as always

I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself Marina but to me it seems like you are belittling yourself and prostituting your dolls to sell some corporation’s perfume. They are amazing works of art: not props in a fragrance advert. USA Vogue should be begging you to do a photoshoot about You and Your Dolls…you needn’t be going out of your way to help someone tally more sales for their product. Fragrances come and go: your work is beyond that. Well, that’s how I feel anyway.

I strongly believe in things happen for a reason,and when a new door opens why not take advantage of that opportunity. I am sure Marina has taken this experience to her advantage. She is a doll Artiste, but to keep in mind she is also a buisness woman. No matter how small or huge the experience maybe, there is always something to enrich our soul.

I get where you’re coming from sdgfdfgs, but I agree with Christiane, she has to be a little smart here, she can’t refuse an invitation like this. Her name and the name of Enchanted Doll are going to soar to new heights with this appearance in Vogue. Marina is sharpening her sword, so to speak, one opportunity leads to the next. ;p
